"The history of the Oriental Motor company dates back to 1885, when Yasutaro Kuraishi laid the foundation with the production and distribution of electrical medical equipment. Shortly thereafter, the production of motors began. After World War II, the company was reestablished as a joint-stock company under the name ""Toyo Dendoki"" in 1950 and renamed ""Oriental Motor"" in 1953. Initially, the focus was on the development and production of asynchronous motors, but over time they were added other product groups, such as brushless motors, stepper motors, servo motors, actuators and fans."
