BBC BROWN BOVERI
The?Brown, Boveri & Cie?o?Brown Boveri Company, also known by the acronym?BBC, was a Swiss?electrotechnical?company. Founded in?1891?in?Baden?in?Switzerland?by the English?Charles Eugene Lancelot Brown?and the German?Walter Boveri?who worked at?Maschinenfabrik Oerlikon, in 1988 it merged with the Swedish?ASEA?giving life to the multinational ?ABB. Over the years, the BBC designed and manufactured electric drives for both railway and trolleybus transport, including direct, alternating and three-phase current, generators, gas turbines and transformers.
